I spent more than 18 years running pubs myself, so I understand the pressures that come with the job. Cash flow, VAT, payroll, stock, GP, wages and the constant need to keep the business moving all matter every week, not just at year end.
That experience is why I moved into specialist hospitality accountancy and consultancy. I wanted to give publicans the sort of financial information I would have wanted when I was running my own pubs: clear numbers, explained properly, with practical advice on what to do next.
